Why Metal Roofing in Tampa is More Effective for Low-Slope Roofing

According to studies, cost is hardly the top priority of homeowners when it comes to their roof. They prefer service life and life cycle costs, as reported by Rodger Russ for Buildings Magazine. This is why, metal roofing in Tampa has been growing popularity. Teamed up with Detroit-based Ducker Research Company, the National Roofing Contractors conducted a study on low-slope roofing in 2005, where they pitted metal roofs against built-up roofs (BUR) and single-ply membrane (SPM) – two of the most widely used roofing materials. The overall findings showed that metal roofs outperformed both these materials in life cycle costs, making it an ideal investment for low-slope roofing. However, experts said to make sure to hire reputable metal roofing contractors for quality installations that will stand the test of time.
